Opened when the combination is lost, reset to a new one, or bolted to the floor.

Why our price stays level

The most common locksmith complaint goes like this: a small “service call” price on the phone, then a bill many times bigger once the lock is drilled. We work the other way around. You get the full price first, and it doesn’t move.

Steady: one price, start to finishBait-and-switch: a $19 “service call” on the phone$400 and up once the lock is drilled
  1. On the phone

Tell us the door, the lock and where you are. We quote the whole job, travel included, before anyone is sent.

  2. At your door

Your technician shows ID, looks at the lock and confirms the same price before starting work.

  3. On the receipt

Pay by card or cash. The receipt shows our name, our address and the price you were quoted.

Our price stays the same from the phone call to the receipt. In a common bait-and-switch, a $19 service call quoted on the phone becomes a bill of $400 or more at the door.

Who comes to your door

  • A technician with ID

Your technician carries photo ID with our company name on it, so you can check who’s there through the peephole before you open the door.

  • Proof before we open anything

We ask for ID with your address, or other proof that you live there or own the car. It’s how we make sure we let in the right person.

  • Insured work

If something is damaged during a job, our insurance covers it, and you have a receipt with our name on it.

Questions people ask

How much will it cost?

It depends on the lock, the door and what’s wrong, so we ask a few questions and give you the full price on the phone. That price includes getting to you.

How fast can you get here?

It depends on where you are and the time of day. We tell you when to expect us before you hang up, and call you if that changes.

Will you have to drill my lock?

Most lockouts open without drilling. If yours has to be drilled, we tell you why and what it costs before we start, and you decide.

Can you make a car key without the original?

Yes, for most cars. We need the car’s VIN, your ID and the registration or title in your name.

How do I spot a locksmith scam?

Be careful with any locksmith who won’t give a total price on the phone, quotes only a small “service call” fee, or arrives in an unmarked car without ID. Ask for the company name and license number, and get the price before they touch the lock.
